To manage the personal and career development requirements of staff within the function, so that they fully meet their career potential. To develop planning, leadership and implementation skills in these employees so that they can progress to major projects as well as providing day-to-day support to specific technical and operations projects.

Responsibilities:
Oversees the plant training organization ensure site compliance to training requirements are maintained.
Conduct regular assessments to identify training needs site wide.
Partner with client groups, subject matter experts (SME’s) and other training staff to determine training needs and design, update and deliver training materials and programs as necessary to meet business needs. This can include programs related to but not limited to onboarding, technical and functional skill proficiency, and leadership development.
Establish process to effectively vet for technical skills knowledge as part of the hiring process.
5 Create training materials, manuals, and e-learning modules tailored to various employee groups.
Facilitate training sessions using a variety of methods, including in-person workshops, virtual training, and on-the-job training.
Coordinate with external training providers as needed.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
Continuously improve training programs and evaluate the effectiveness based on evaluation results and industry standard processes.
Establish, maintain, and communicate training metrics to evaluate current programs and analyze opportunities for improvements.
Ensure all training programs follow industry regulations and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of training activities, certifications, and employee progress.
