Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager of Production Control & Materials Management (Level M) to join our dynamic team in Berkeley, Missouri; Ridley Park, Pennsylvania; Tukwila, Washington or Mesa, Arizona.

This position will be responsible for leading the transformation of BDS Production Control & Material Management functions.

Responsible for defining and implementing BDS standard processes, systems, and tools to support production control and materials management with the objective of delivering the right part at the right time.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development and execution of strategies that ensure a safe work environment while improving process quality and operational efficiency
  • Drives transformation initiatives aligned to Company and Division priorities, including:
    • Realigning business processes, systems, and tools for more effective inventory management
    • Establishing cost-management and control processes that create ownership and drive cost reduction
    • Strengthening partnerships with 3PL/4PL providers and make-supplier business partners
  • Designs and implements innovative supply chain and materials management methodologies
  • Leads and manages complex, cross-functional projects and schedules to ensure timely delivery of objectives
  • Coaches and mentors teams to adopt standardized processes, tools, and metrics

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 5 years of experience in a leadership role (i.e., manager, project manager, team lead, etc.)
  • More than 10 years of leadership experience in supply chain or materials management
  • More than 5 years of experience working directly with executives or senior leaders
  • More than 10 years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • More than 5 years of experience performing in a leadership role, including establishing business and/or functional process policies/strategies, objectives, and management/ownership of associated risks
  • More than 10 years of experience supporting Boeing Operations – Materials Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Operations, Supplier Management
  • More than 10 years of experience in leading systematic problem solving
  • More than 10 years of experience as a leader or manager
  • Change management leadership experience
  • More than 10 years of experience in implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • More than 10 years of experience in a leadership role (i.e., manager, project manager, team lead, etc.)
  • More than 10 years of experience working directly with executives or senior leaders
  • More than 10 years of experience performing in a leadership role, including establishing business and/or functional process policies/strategies, objectives, and management/ownership of associated risks

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 50% of the time.
