Senior Backend Developer (m/w/d) with German language

In addition to the further development, we have an ambitious goal of modernizing the existing payment platform running on local servers to run as a serverless AWS cloud service. We want to be future proof on both technological level and in our ways of working.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p><strong>Location: Eschborn, Cologne, Munich, Berlin or Remote from Germany. </strong></p><p><strong>Your new base</strong></p><p>You will join a team of experienced backend and payment system developers that have responsibility over:</p><ul><li>Developing new functionality to the platform</li><li>Operating the service</li><li>Performing the migration from the server based solution to AWS cloud solution</li></ul><p>The service has been implemented using Java and Python. While performing the cloud migration, new technologies will be take into use.</p><p>You are a part of an autonomous team using agile methods. As a part of the team, you will also be improving teamʼs ways of working, as well as choosing the best technologies and methods for your team. Your team will be located in Finland and in Germany. Your team communication language will be English.</p><p> </p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>You be like</strong></p><p>First and foremost we expect you to be open-minded and not afraid to learn new things. Weʼre looking for a person who takes responsibility and initiative, takes the lead where needed, and embraces team work. Donʼt worry, you wonʼt be the only one with these traits.</p><p><br/>You have experience with some of the following (and are keen of learning the rest):</p><ul><li>Knowledge of Java and Python helps to dive into our current codebase.</li><li>Knowing Node.JS, JavaScript and/or TypeScript will ease out when renewing the platform.</li><li>Experience of highly available, scalable and secure systems is needed when building pan-European payment platform.</li><li>AWS and serverless is our way of thinking ahead.</li><li>Docker ー even if our production setup drifts away towards serverless, Docker will be an integral part of the dev &amp; test setup.</li><li>We currently use PostgreSQL as our database</li></ul><p> </p><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong>If you love to code, you will enjoy working with us</strong></p><p>We want to create the best product in the payment industry, and make it happen by building the best software team.
