Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tester Build Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, assembling, and maintaining test systems for automotive module validations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, wiring, and PCB assembly, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test System Assembly:
- Build and assemble test systems for automotive module validation.
- Perform point-to-point wiring and harness assembly according to schematics and diagrams.
- Integrate electronic components and modules into test setups.
- Reading and Interpreting Schematics:
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Identify components and understand their functions within the test system.
- PCB Assembly:
- Assemble and solder printed circuit boards (PCBs) for use in test systems.
- Perform quality checks to ensure PCB assemblies meet required specifications.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues within test systems and components.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of test system configurations, modifications, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare and update technical documentation and reports as required.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure test systems meet validation requirements.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements in test system design and assembly processes.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standards while working with electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experence.
- 2+ years of experience in electronics assembly, wiring, and/or PCB assembly.
Additional Information
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Strong soldering skills and experience with PCB assembly.
- Knowledge of electronic components and their functions.
- Familiarity with test equipment and tools used in automotive module validation.
