REPORTS TO: Director of Access and Engagement 

SCHEDULE: Tuesday-Thursday (11:00AM - 7:30PM), Friday (10:00AM - 6:30PM), Saturday (7:30AM - 4:00PM)

LOCATION: Venice, CA 

STATUS: Reimbursement for use

SALARY: $70,304.00 Annually

ABOUT THE ROLE:  

The Access & Engagement Program Supervisor is a dynamic leadership role that bridges SPY's drop-in Access Center and street-based Outreach & Engagement programs. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the Access Center while also supervising an outreach team conducting street-based services across Service Planning Area 5 (SPA 5). The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, Positive Youth Development, and community outreach, and is passionate about creating safe, empowering spaces for youth experiencing or at-risk of homelessness. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Access Center Operations

• Oversee, grow, and develop Access Center programs using Positive Youth Development and trauma-informed approaches
• Provide oversight of Access Center programming, volunteers, and case management including contracts with Probations, Youth Family Reconnection, and Problem Solving
• Assure high-quality front desk operations and flow 
• Assess and maintain a consistent schedule for engaging, youth-centered programming focused on empowerment, development, and healing arts approaches
•  Lead weekly Restorative Justice meetings and implement a Restorative Justice approach in member accountability
• Manage co-locating Access Center partnerships on site and serve as SPY point of contact for partners
• Manage facility needs and ensure upkeep of the physical Access Center space
• Manage Access Center budgets and resolve administrative problems through data analysis and identifying solutions
• Provide strengths-based supervision for supervisory staff, Access Center teams, outreach support workers, youth liaisons, and interns
• Responsible for day-to-day assignments, onboarding, training, and regular check-ins with direct reports
• Host weekly one-on-one supervision meetings with each team member to provide support and address concerns

Outreach & Engagement

• Conduct street-based outreach on foot and in a company vehicle to transitional-age youth (TAY) experiencing homelessness, including collaborative outreach with partner agencies
• Distribute snack packs, hygiene kits, sleeping bags, tents, and other essential items to youth in need
• Create weekly outreach work plans and schedules covering different cities within SPA 5
• Build and maintain professional relationships with surrounding agencies and community partners supporting individuals experiencing homelessness
• Track and oversee outreach team data in alignment with RHY grant guidelines
• Ensure timely completion of monthly and bi-monthly reports
• Manage and track financial expenses for the outreach program
• Support drop-in and other on-site activities when needed
• Manage all Access Center and outreach data, reports, and contract expectations
