Intern - Pricing Analyst

Overview

 

Triumph Geared Solutions - Park City (TGS-PC) is seeking an Intern, Pricing Analyst for its Contracts team. It is expected that the incumbent of this position will work around their course schedule during the semester and full-time during breaks between semesters. A hybrid work schedule is acceptable on agreement with management. 

Responsibilities

 

As the Intern - Pricing Analyst, you will prepare and analyze data and information to

 

• Compile cost & pricing data to support bids and proposals
  • Analyze and compare historic cost information vs. the bid package for approval
• Document processes and procedures
• Write work instructions for pricing tools in use at TGS
• Works cross functionally to ensure good data is received in from all functions to ensure the most accurate quoting possible
• Maintain and regularly update a pricing history database and quote log. Upgrade the quote log to allow for better metrics and KPI reporting
• Automate weekly and monthly KPI reporting
• Define new / update business procedures, evaluate resource and tool requirements for pricing.
• Support total pricing procedure, enhance processes to make most of efficiencies and ensure timely response to customers.

Qualifications

 

• Bachelor's Degree or pursuing a Bachelor's degree in the following: engineering, math, accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent).
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Understanding of cost structure used to develop estimates.
• Ability to enter information into an ERP system and proficiency in Microsoft Office. 
• Ability to draft basis of estimates.
• Ability to articulate the proposal’s winning strategy using tools such PowerPoint, cost structures, or excel.
• Creative thinking with ability to multi-task
• Highly organized project management skills to coordinate resources and manage multiple activities to meet established proposal deadlines.
• Open to a changing environment and able to adapt to business changes.
• US Citizenship is required.
