Summary of Performance Expectations:
The Financial IT Applications Analyst serves as the primary intermediary between the finance and IT departments, ensuring the effective integration and operation of financial systems. Their responsibilities include analyzing, designing, and implementing solutions that support accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting processes while enhancing operational efficiency. They assess current finance systems and processes to spot areas for improvement and propose enhancements to optimize system efficiency and user experience. Collaboration with Finance and IT teams to gather and document system requirements are essential as they translate business needs into technical specifications for developers and system administrators. They lead finance-related system projects, including upgrades, implementations, and process automation. They would develop comprehensive project plans, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion. The analyst acts as the main point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving finance system issues and maintains system documentation, including configurations and process flows. Providing training and support to finance teams on new system functionalities or processes would be part of their duties. Ensuring that financial systems comply with all regulatory standards and partnering with IT security teams to safeguard sensitive financial data is imperative. The analyst assists with builds and maintenance of dashboards and reports. Expertise with tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel are preferred.
Education & Credentials:
Required
Associate degree in Management of Information Systems or related field. Strong information systems knowledge required. Application user experience, analyst, or project implementation roles.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in management of information systems or related field.
Work Experience:
Required
Ten years previous healthcare experience in an Information Systems role or ten years of technology experience. Five years technical experience. Successful demonstration of knowledge with hospital information system applications. Proven experience with software life cycle. Experience with acquisition and installation of software applications with validated successful outcomes. A substantiated leader with experience working with teams and process improvement. Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
Preferred
Knowledge of report writers and database applications either directly or through supervision. Experience with process management and content management systems.
