GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Under the direction of the Customer Portal & Development Manager, the Senior Software Engineer will have a wide range of responsibilities including development and architecture of dealer portal applications, public websites, applications supporting our primary business systems, and working with our CMS systems.  Data skills are recommended to tie into our business systems to present data and analytics on the web to support our employees and customers. You will have to work closely with the team mostly located in France.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in planning, designing, and gathering requirements for our main dealer portal application using Sitefinity CMS, supporting applications and integration of additional systems.
  • Provide insight and direction with the latest technologies and general design principles for the web.
  • Good knowledge of application architecture.
  • Challenge previously made business, development, and design decisions when appropriate and provide forward thinking alternatives.
  • Other related duties and projects as assigned.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • More than 5 years’ experience required
  • At least one of this area of expertise :  B2B Portal / CRM / eCommerce / Industry / Digital Marketing / ERP

 

EXPERTISE:

  • Strong knowledge of C#, MVC, and Object Oriented Programming
  • Knowledge of Angular
  • Knowledge of Azure Web Sites and Cloud Services, Azure SQL, and Redis in Azure
  • Knowledge of WebApi
  • Proficient in HTML and XML
  • Knowledge in JavaScript/typescript and JavaScript libraries such as jQuery
  • Knowledge in other client side technologies such as AJAX
  • Understand mobile device targeting
  • Proficient in the latest versions of .NET
  • Ability to test your application during and after completion using unit testing and other appropriate testing tools
  • Understand web application security principles
  • Understand general database design using Oracle and MSSQL
  • Understand database concepts and ADO.net data retrieval, with experience in Entity Framework
  • Understand LINQ to SQL and LINQ to other appropriate data sources
  • Strong knowledge of CMS and DMS technologies
  • Knowledge of Sitefinity CMS a plus
  • Experience in design patterns such as Unit of Work, Reporting, and Separation of Concerns     
  • You’re comfortable with Git.

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related experience.
  • Microsoft Development Certification (C#, SQL or Azure) desirable
  • French speaking is not required, but it can help

 

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:

  • You’ll be part of a 25 person team (internal & contractors) , split between France & USA
  • You’ll work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Devops

 

LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:

  • This position is located in West Bend
  • Up to one trip in France per ye
