JOB SUMMARY
Atwell is looking for a Project Manager with energy experience. Current projects include oil & natural gas, petrochemical, CO2, hydrogen, and RNG pipelines and facilities. The selected candidate will work to build our business through industry contacts nationwide.
The Project Manager will achieve business objectives by developing opportunities, executing project work, and ensuring financial and team success through schedule, cost, and quality leadership. In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to develop and demonstrate proficiency regarding the essential functions of the job found below.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervises and directs all members of the assigned project team to include engineering, design, survey, permitting and land service members.
- Establish business objectives:
- Develop and achieve annual business plan with Regional Leader.
- Develop and maintain strategic alliances with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners to enhance market presence and drive growth.
- Establish department objectives by collaborating with team members and management.
- Organize project team.
- Achieve financial objectives:
- Lead project and team financial performance.
- Initiate corrective actions.
- Report results to management.
- Approve project expenditures.
- Manage invoices/subcontractors as needed.
- Establish project plans and objectives:
- Collaborate and lead team to help them determine timeframes, budgets, staffing, or project schedules.
- Assist with developing and leading project proposals as needed.
- Conduct necessary research prior to starting project.
- Maintain client relationships.
- Develop project schedules and maintain deadlines
- Forecast project needs and resources to achieve project objectives
- Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, or public as needed:
- Respond to project inquiries.
- Serve as liaison between clients and project team members.
- Develop future business.
- Assist with business development/marketing support and presentations.
- Proactively build and maintain relationships with current and future clients.
- Ensure team performance and provide leadership to project teams:
- Supervise, advise, and assist assigned project team members.
- Foster teamwork within project teams and other teams within the firm.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge:
- Attend educational workshops.
- Review professional and market segment publications.
- Establish personal networks.
- Participate in applicable professional societies and trade associations.
- Ensure product quality, quality reviews and Atwell reputation by following the Atwell Product Quality Manual and established standards/templates when needed.
- Achieve team performance objectives as well as individual objectives.
- Promote internal communication and encourage dialogue within project teams, across market sectors, and throughout organization.
- Work closely with other Energy teams within Atwell to take advantage of expertise and share resources.
- Willing to travel when necessary.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Professional Engineering license is a plus.
EXPERIENCE
- Eight (8) plus years of experience in energy engineering, design, construction, or survey.
- Ability to train and mentor engineering & design teams.
