Service Department Cashier

Location: Dallas, TX (On site) | Type: Full Time | Hourly Range: $16/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Payments: Accurately handle all forms of payments, including cash, credit cards, checks, and financing payments for vehicle purchases, service department transactions, and parts purchases.

• Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, answer questions, and assist with any payment-related issues. Address any customer concerns and direct them to the appropriate department if necessary.

• Maintain Records: Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customers. Keep accurate records of transactions, including sales and service invoices, parts orders, and payments received.

• Reconcile Cash Drawer: Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring that all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.

• Clerical Support: Assist in maintaining organized records for the dealership’s accounting and finance departments. This may include filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks as required.

• Coordinate with Departments: Communicate effectively with the sales, service, and parts departments to ensure seamless payment processes. Inform customers about outstanding balances and help resolve any billing issues.

• Assist with Financing: Support the finance department by coordinating payment plans, down payments, and other financing-related tasks when necessary.

• Compliance and Security: Follow dealership policies and procedures regarding payment handling and ensure the security of cash and credit transactions.
