About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Information Technology. This role will be responsible for all aspects of Information Technology including enterprise applications, infrastructure, security, DevOps, and data. This role will oversee the evaluation, selection, implementation, and maintenance of critical software systems and infrastructures that enable company operations. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to align a technology roadmap with the strategic goals of the company. Then execute projects in alignment with the roadmap.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide strategic leadership to the IT organization through the development and execution of an IT vision, strategy and roadmap that enable business stakeholders.
- Create and sustain an organization that can effectively plan and manage all information technology initiatives within enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, devops, and helpdesk services.
- Drive IT simplification of on-premises and cloud-based application platforms and infrastructures.
- Oversee management and maintenance of technical infrastructure including networks, physical server, virtual server, printer, storage, security, databases, telecommunications, personal devices, and other physical infrastructure hosted in on-premises data center and in the cloud (e.g., Azure). This includes phone systems, LAN/WAN network, circuits, routers. switches, firewalls, wireless access points and VPN solutions.
- Oversee management and maintenance of enterprise applications such as but not limited to ERP, CRM, ecommerce and related application platforms.
- Work closely with business leaders to understand opportunities for enabling business operations and then provide innovative solutions to meeting their needs.
- Work with the business to develop a data strategy and data management strategy.
- Collaborate with project management and code development teams by providing infrastructure, data, and technology platform services while leveraging development and QA team services required for IT enterprise initiatives.
- Build effective relationships across the business and oversee the preparation of business cases to support proposed IT initiatives.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, expenses, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to employees.
What We’re Looking For:
- Technical degree bachelor’s degree. MBA or advanced technical degree is desired.
- Minimum of 10 years of IT management experience.
- Be a hands-on IT leader to ensure activities and projects are managed effectively, accurately and completed on-time.
- Prior experience leading an IT group across enterprise applications, infrastructure, data, and cybersecurity.
- Proven track record in developing the annual IT strategy and roadmap linked to business objectives.
- Demonstrated track record of leading enterprise applications, infrastructure, and data implementations.
- Solid experience evaluating and selecting technology solutions through RFP and other methodologies.
- Experience highlighting an ability to plan and execute multiple complex IT projects against plans, budgets and timelines.
- Demonstrated budgetary planning, vendor contract management, and contract negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated the ability to execute parent company policies, standards, and initiatives as required.
- Solid relationship building with the business, peers, staff, and cross-functional teams.
- Motivated, self-starter who acts with a sense of urgency, persistence, take-charge attitude, and minimal guidance.
- Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
- Communicates a clear set of objectives, delegates effectively and drives accountability.
