We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Principal Cloud Platform Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of our AI first healthcare cloud platform in Google. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, ensuring scalability, and embedding secure, compliant, and intelligence driven capabilities throughout the platform. Leveraging an AI

 

Development Life Cycle (AI DLC) approach, this leader will champion the adoption of AI enabled services and automation patterns that address the unique challenges of the healthcare industry.

 

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud platform architecture, a strong understanding of healthcare technology standards, and a passion for transforming healthcare delivery through cutting edge cloud and AI technologies. They will bring an AI first mentality to platform design-ensuring that data, models, automation, and responsible AI practices are foundational components across all cloud solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Cloud Architecture Design: Develop and maintain the overall architecture for cloud-based solutions that align organizational goals and industry best practices in healthcare
  • Healthcare Compliance and Security: Ensure all cloud solutions meet healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, HiTrust, FedRAMP) and adhere to strict security protocols
  • Platform Optimization: Drive the optimization of cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and high availability to support critical healthcare applications
  • Technology Leadership: Stay ahead of emerging trends in cloud computing, healthcare technologies, and industry regulations to recommend innovative solutions
  • Collaboration: Partner with engineering, DevOps, data science, security, and product teams to design and deploy robust solutions supporting healthcare data workflows and analytics
  • Disaster Recovery and Resilience: Design and implement disaster recovery plans and fault-tolerant systems to minimize downtime in mission-critical healthcare operations
  • Automation and Scalability: Leverage automation tools to streamline infrastructure management and enable rapid scaling of cloud resources
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Collaborate with Google Cloud and third-party vendors to ensure successful implementation of cloud strategies
  • Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT architecture and engineering
  • 5+ years focused on cloud platforms
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing cloud solutions in Google Cloud
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Extensive knowledge of networking, databases, and cybersecurity in a cloud environment
  • Expert understanding of GCP Native Infrastructure, such as Networking and IAM

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience implementing responsible AI practices and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations in AI-driven solutions
  • Ability to design and integrate AI pipelines leveraging GCP data services (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow) to support scalable ML workflows
