About the role

The Organisation

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child but know this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges girls and vulnerable children face. We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood and we enable children to prepare for and respond to crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

For over 85 years, we have rallied other determined optimists to transform the lives of all children in more than 80 countries.

We won’t stop until we are all equal.

The Opportunity

Plan International is on a mission to solidify its position as a dual-mandated humanitarian actor, with an aim to expand funding for emergency programming. We are seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to take on the role of Humanitarian Fundraising Project Lead. In this key position, you will act as the central focal point, coordinating a diverse range of stakeholders to drive and diversify flexible humanitarian fundraising across the organization.

Your role will involve the development and delivery of high-quality fundraising packages, content, communications, concepts, and emergency appeals, as well as overseeing effective income (FOA) management, distribution, reporting, and training. You will help enhance the ability of National Organisations to grow flexible income that resonates with global audiences, ultimately increasing our humanitarian impact.

Collaboration is key to this role. You will work closely with various teams, including the Global Fundraising Support Team, Humanitarian Team, Communications, Country and Regional Offices, and National Organisations to achieve success. If you’re passionate about making a difference and bringing innovative fundraising solutions to a global humanitarian context, we invite you to apply!

The Person

You should have a relevant university degree or equivalent experience, along with excellent project management skills. You possess a deep understanding of innovative fundraising strategies, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, and a genuine interest in humanitarian programming. You have demonstrable experience in humanitarian fundraising, ideally within an INGO environment, and are comfortable working with diverse, matrixed teams. You are fluent in English and excel at building relationships with various stakeholders. With a results-driven, solution-oriented mindset, you thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments and ensure high-quality outcomes through strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
