Configuration Management Specialist (Product Support and Software Distribution)KBR, is currently recruiting for a Configuration Management (CM) Specialist: Product Support and Software Distribution (Journeyman) to join our team in APG, MD to support our customer, Project Manager Intelligence Systems & Analytics – Army (PM IS&A).
Job Description:
The CM Specialist serves as a valuable Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) team member by governing, administering and executing the technical and management process for establishing and maintaining consistency of a product’s performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design and operational information throughout the product life cycle.
This position interacts with multiple stakeholders within the organization supporting the configuration and data management function.
Additionally, the CM Specialist will support push and pull activities for software distribution to all applicable stakeholders in the IS&A program.
Replicates and distributes media to field locations Assists in team efforts to distribute and replicate media, ensuring schedules meet contractual/project requirements.
Assists senior personnel in establishing and defining program requirements.
Monitors progress of media distribution as directed.
Ensures configuration and data management compliance to hardware, software, documents, test equipment, tooling, specifications, product requirements and program requirements IAW IS&A standards.
Creates status accounting reports throughout the product life cycle, ensuring consistency and accuracy of reported information.
Assists with generating Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), assessing, analyzing and documenting all impacts of the proposed change as required.
Process all authorized request for information (RFI) for all CONUS and OCONUS locations to support mission requirements.
Release, archive and manage all software media and corresponding documentation in the CM repositories.
Perform quality assurance of configuration item deliverables received and distributed.
All other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
Must have an active Secret level security clearance.
Contract Requirements:
Two years of direct work experience is acceptable in lieu of an associate degree.
Direct experience of gathering/eliciting COTS software licensing requirements; procuring licenses through working with various procurement/contracting vehicles; verifying software licenses requests and distribute licenses, racking software baselines; auditing and creating version description documents (VDD); replicating and distributing media to field locations.
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to travel as required.
Contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.
