Security Officer - Camden PRN

Provides security for patients, team members, and visitors; protects Health System buildings, assets, and premises. All team members of Southeast Georgia Health System will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission requirements, and national patient safety standards.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provides protection of life and property; actively, thoroughly, and unpredictably patrols the greater campus area on foot and by vehicle.
• Detects and reports violations of local, state, and federal law and violations of health system policy in a timely manner; actively monitors compliance and enforces parking control policy.
• Handles morgue access and morgue related activities, including required recordkeeping and some interaction with families/next of kin, funeral homes, and the coroner’s office.
• Maintains lost and found items, valuables handling and storage, and issues/collects hospital keys to/from authorized persons.
• Responds to and actively participates in crisis intervention situations.
• Implements directives from the Public Safety Officer and Department Manager.
• Performs report writing and light clerical duties.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

Previous security experience preferred.
