Reporting to the SVP & Chief Operating Officer, the Director US Operations is responsible for leading Operations for Gibson Energy’s US crude oil Marine Terminal in Corpus Christie and gathering systems and truck terminals in Wink Texas.
What You'll be Doing
- Aligns with the Company values, responsible for developing and mentoring team members, and providing guidance and direction for the overall group, including:
- Manages performance of individuals to achieve results
- Builds a collaborative, innovative team to exceed customer expectations (internal and external)
- Communicates the Company’s vision and strategy in relatable terms
- Creates an environment of engagement for team members to produce high quality services
- Provides leadership on operating performance and technical operations support for Marine, Terminal and Pipeline Operations.
- Engages as an active member of Gibson’s US Leadership Team, contributing to the overall strategic direction, and priorities of the business. Participates in strategic planning for the US growth strategy and US Terminals & Pipeline group.
- Establishes a collaborative, results-oriented culture of accountability in the US Terminal & Pipeline Group with emphasis on supporting operations and projects.
- Establishes and maintains a strong safety culture with all operating groups, as well as with contractors and consultants engaged by Gibson.
- Applies the Gibson Way and our values to support the implementation of Gibson’s Operations Management System (OMS) within the US Operations.
- Plans and leads the growth and development of the operations group for US Terminals and Pipeline assets. This includes ensuring the capabilities of each group are appropriate for the projected workload and ensuring that the leadership skill of others in the groups are developed and used effectively.
- Develops and executes annual operating plans to accommodate expected business growth and to meet or exceed corporate goals and objectives in collaboration with functional support groups and the US Operations team.
- Establishes procedures and controls to effectively monitor operations.
- Manages the operating and replacement capital budgets, including budgeting, AFE development, project execution and expenditure monitoring.
- Manages operational expenditures and business growth to meet or exceed corporate goals and objectives.
- Maintains safe, reliable operations in compliance with Regulations, Company standards, operating agreements and approved Quality Assurance and Integrity Management Programs.
- Collaborates with corporate HR support: plan, organize, recruit and supervise staff resources including providing compensation recommendations.
- Enables success of Gibson’s maintenance capital expenditure through project development and execution of crude gathering and related facilities projects.
