About the role

Description

The Postdoctoral Associate will pursue an active program of research that involves exploring the early roots and underlying mechanisms of gender disparities in early STEM learning opportunities of Latine children. Working under the guidance of NYU Steinhardt faculty mentor, Dr. Gigliana Melzi, the Postdoctoral Associate will have access to professional development opportunities in the field of developmental and educational psychology as they transition to career independence. This position includes a teaching load of one course per semester with specific teaching responsibilities to be determined in consultation with the school dean or a dean’s representative and the department chair.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500 - $62,500. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

Qualifications

The candidate must have completed a doctoral degree in developmental psychology or a related field. The candidate must demonstrate strong skills in data management, data coding, data analysis, and research dissemination (conferences, papers in developmental science).
