Sr. Financial Analyst (Starlink Revenue)

SR. FINANCIAL ANALYST (STARLINK REVENUE)
The Sr. Financial Analyst will be instrumental in the tracking, forecasting, analysis and reporting of revenue for SpaceX’s Starlink internet business across the world. This is a key financial planning and analysis (FP&A) role responsible for providing executive level visibility of revenue and customer unit-economic performance trends necessary to optimize Starlink business performance. The successful candidate will have strong drive and analytical skills while interfacing with all aspects of the Starlink customer operations and sales teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and enhance tools to track and analyze revenue performance, network utilization and other critical key performance indicators
- Analyze customer acquisition cost metrics, customer churn and other key performance metrics necessary to analyze and optimize per-user economics
- Monitor and analyze service offering effectiveness in all markets
- Provide support for GAAP revenue recognition and related accounting needs
- Develop/enhance revenue assurance processes to optimize cash collections
- Work with treasury, tax and legal teams to ensure compliance with global invoicing requirements across the world
- Provide insight on revenue, spending variances, and department level reporting to business partners
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses as needed to support operational decision making and improve profitability
- Perform a leading role on internal projects, working closely with peer organizations to understand key business issues and translate them into financial models and metrics
- Analyze and interpret financial data for use in management reviews and decisions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of professional experience in accounting, finance, business, or economics
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or engineering
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, applied business statistics, and general modeling experience of complex non-linear systems
- MBA and/or CPA
- Experience in finance/accounting within manufacturing or technology industries
- Experience acting as a finance subject matter expert in the optimization of various enterprise resource planning (ERP) business tools and applications
- Knowledge of reporting, visualization, intelligence and analysis tools
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to regularly interface with executive management
- Strong leadership skills and a high level of responsibility and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with presenting analytical results in verbal and written form across a multi-disciplinary organization
- Ability to frame unstructured and complex analytical problems to a broad audience
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Financial Analyst /Senior: $110,000.00 - $145,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
