About the Role

As a Principal TPM, you will serve as a strategic leader and technical authority across multiple programs and platforms. You’ll drive enterprise-wide initiatives, influence architectural decisions, and ensure alignment between business goals and technical execution. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the roadmap, guiding cross-functional teams, and delivering innovative solutions that elevate Walmart’s People Technology ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

• Strategic Program Leadership: Own the delivery of large-scale, cross-functional programs that span multiple business units and geographies. Define program vision, success metrics, and execution strategy.
• Enterprise Architecture Alignment: Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and product teams to ensure Workday and OpenStack solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with Walmart’s enterprise standards.
• Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Influence senior leaders across HR, Tech, and Business functions. Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes with clarity and confidence.
• Technical Oversight: Guide the design, integration, and optimization of Time & Attendance. Ensure robust data flows, system uptime, and compliance.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Coach Staff TPMs and other team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Risk & Change Management: Anticipate and mitigate risks across programs. Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption and minimal disruption.
• Operational Excellence: Drive best practices in program tracking, issue resolution, and documentation using tools like Jira, ServiceNow, and Confluence.

What You’ll Bring

• 10+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale technology programs, preferably within Walmart or similarly complex environments.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a track record of influencing across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of program management tools and methodologies (Agile, SAFe, etc.).
• Demonstrated success in mentoring senior-level TPMs and driving cross-functional alignment.
• Growth mindset, with a passion for innovation, simplification, and delivering measurable business impact.
