Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Storage Solution Team leader and Architect, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that various IBM storage solutions are expertly designed and integrated with IBM’s best-of-breed storage products. This is your chance to create innovative new storage solutions as well as grow your career. Hone your expertise alongside fellow talented professionals, where you’ll develop some of the most exciting storage solutions on the market.

Primary responsibilities

• Drive clear requirements for IBM Storage portfolio based on industry trends and key OEM/ISV strategies
• Provide differentiated workload-based education to customers and sales.
• Drive client success stories, references, and joint marketing opportunities between vendors
• Help foster the feeling of being a trusted advisor with our customers when it comes to strategic solutions
• Enable cross selling of other 3rd party solutions in the market
• Focus vendors to start: Nvidia, Supermicro, Lenovo, Dell, VMware, Red Hat, Modern DBs (MongoDB, Data Bricks, Snowflake, etc)

What you’ll do:
As an Technical leader for Storage Solution Team, you will

• Engage with strategic OEM and ISV vendors that are aligned with the IBM Storage strategy to create short and long term alignment of roadmaps and GTM
• Engage at least quarterly in roadmap discussions to understand future directions of each team
• Evangelize IBM Storage capabilities with 3rd party vendor
• Create best practice POVs for our products, and services with strategic workloads
• Create content – Whitepapers, videos, presentations.
• Contribute to public events – Speaking sessions, presentations etc.
• Help secure deals by working sales and being a liaison back to core product management for feature requests.
• Work with partners to secure support. Understand and influence their roadmaps. Secure HW, SW marketing funds etc.
• Lead beta\\Tech preview program.
• Researching learning and training on the workload’s customer use
• Create social media enterprise credibility with direct content aligned to solutions work.
• Deliver First-of-a-kind(FOAK) Storage Solution and partner functional testing as blueprints, videos and demos showcasing customer use-cases. These are E2E view of an integrated application with IBM Storage
• Creation of Blueprints, validation of Storage solutions, testing & benchmarking on third party devices and partner offerings
• Work closely with both Tech Sales and Product Management to enable sales and demonstrate IBM differentiation
• Manage a team of solution architects and provide leadership and guidance to them
• Influence technical experts in partners and customer to adopt IBM Storage Solutions
• Suggest new solution offerings using IBM Storage portfolio and integration with other IBM products like Hybrid Cloud & AI
• Develop proof of concepts and provide guidance to other architects
• Work with IBM product teams to understand and influence roadmaps and provide feedback from partners

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 15+ years of relevant experience in Storage/ Filesystems / Storage Systems Software background
