About the role
<p>Viessmann Germany is seeking a personality who quickly grasps complex issues and extract the relevant information from departmental requirements who will be responsible for the operation, availability, performance and optimisation of the mainly virtualized Linux/UNIX system landscape.</p>
<h3><strong>Your impact</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Monitor, performance analysis (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana), troubleshooting and error analysis </li>
<li>Operation of the Kubernetes clusters (RedHat OpenShift) and support of the DevOps teams</li>
<li>Support of the High Performance Computer cluster and its specialized department/software (Ansys,MSC) </li>
<li>Develop and operate systems to support internal IT and cloud platforms</li>
<li>Standard and automation of an efficient system environment using e.g. Bash, Python, Perl, Ansible, Terraform </li>
<li>Operation patch management</li>
<li>Planning, implementation and support of projects in the aforementioned environment</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Who you are</strong></h3>
<p>You enjoy working with Unix/Linux operating systems and would like to contribute to Viessmann’s UNIX/LINUX systems. To ensure that you are also successful in your job, you should ideally bring the following with you:</p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the IT field</li>
<li>5-8 years of experience in the administration and operation of a UNIX/Linux system landscape </li>
<li>Knowledge of common Linux operating systems, primarily AIX, RedHat, SuSE as well as virtualisation technologies (PowerVM, VMware ESX)</li>
<li>Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform</li>
<li>A strong understanding of IT security topics</li>
<li>LPIC certification an basic knowledge of network technology and firewalls would be beneficial</li>
<li>Self-motivation for standardization and documentation</li>
<li>Strong service and customer orientation as well as participation in on-call duty</li>
