About the role

Job Description:

Skilled Wound Care, a leading national surgical physician group servicing nursing homes for wound care, is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented FileMaker Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of FileMaker functionality, with additional experience in SQL and JavaScript. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our existing FileMaker systems, supporting end-users with data corrections, troubleshooting, and performing bug fixes. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team of developers and IT professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance existing FileMaker solutions to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  • Develop new features and functionality based on business requirements using FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server.
  • Collaborate with support teams to address data corrections and backend fixes in FileMaker.
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve bugs in the system.
  • Utilize SQL to integrate FileMaker with external data sources and systems.
  • Implement JavaScript-based functionality to extend FileMaker’s capabilities where appropriate.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, developers, and business stakeholders, to deliver robust and user-friendly solutions.
  • Ensure the FileMaker systems adhere to best practices in design, coding, and security.
  • Document workflows, code changes, and system updates for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working with FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server including advanced scripting, calculation, and layout design.
  • 1-2 years of experience with SQL for database integration and management.
  • 1-2 years of experience with JavaScript for enhancing system functionality.
  • Strong understanding of relational database design principles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, diverse team environment.

Preferred Skills and Key Attributes:

  • Experience integrating FileMaker with APIs or other third-party services.
  • Knowledge of FileMaker Go and WebDirect.
  • Familiarity with data migration and ETL processes.
  • Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking to support FileMaker Server deployment and maintenance.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and improving existing systems.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to translate technical details into user- friendly solutions.

Details

  • This position will be a full time position
  • Pay: $25-$32 USD/hr depending on experience
