Primary Function

Incumbent is responsible for leading a portion of the Sales and Operations Planning process corporate-wide, developing the unconstrained demand plan, facilitating the supply reviews identifying and driving closure to gaps between demand and supply.  He/she is accountable for forecast accuracy improvements in order to ensure maximum complete and on-time performance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process from demand planning to the review with executive management.
  • Drive collaborative forecasting and replenishment planning with external customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead demand planning reviews for multiple product families measuring the demand planning process effectiveness to drive complete and on-time performance & continuous improvement actions.
  • Determine appropriate distribution center inventory stocking levels and drive actions to optimize working capital.
  • Lead physical inventory counts at distribution centers
  • Drive the process to mitigate slow moving and obsolete inventory across the organization
  • Facilitate supply reviews driving adherence and accountability with appropriate functional owners through rough cut capacity planning and performance to key metrics.
  • Identify and define gap analysis actions requiring management decision.
  • Influence others and drive results within the organization without having direct reporting authority.
  • Create reports from system generated data to support problem solving as needed.
  • Develop and document standard work that drives repeatable results for demand and material planning.
  • Create key performance indicators that measure the accuracy, effectiveness and completeness of the demand and material planning process and drive root cause corrective action as needed.
  • Lead development of new methodologies, as needed, to improve the planning process and results.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field
  • 5+ years related work experience
  • Experience in a Demand Planning in an SAP environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Inventory control and material planning experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead change and influence decisions
  • APICS Certification preferred

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Related Field

Years of Experience

Minimum of 5 years related work experience
