St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking and Mammography Tech whose primary purpose is to perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed radiation for radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for the designated area of the Breast Center and procedures as required.
QualificationsEDUCATION:
Bachelor degree preferred. Graduate of accredited AMA program/s for Radiologic technology. Holder of a valid and current; 1. Registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist and; 2. Licensed as required by the State of West Virginia. Mammography certification by the ACR is strongly desired.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous work experience as Staff Mammography Technologist required.
SKILLS:
Uses a variety of stationary and mobile radiation producing diagnostic equipment and mechanical accessories. Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials and devices.
