What you’ll be responsible for:

We are looking for a senior leader to own and drive the company’s banking strategy to support product and business needs. This role will oversee the design and development of various platforms and products to support the global engineering strategy of Circle. As the overall leader of the Circle’s Liquidity team, you will manage directors, managers and teams that build and own next generation infrastructure and platforms.

What you'll work on:

• Own the Liquidity platform strategy and associated product roadmap, including stakeholder coordination, business requirements development and prioritization assessment. .

• Build deep relationships and create strategic alliances to establish trust with key stakeholders across legal, risk, compliance, engineering, product etc. to accelerate delivery engineering team roadmap.

• Lead agile software processes for engineering teams and introduce best-in-class industry practices

• Work with cross functional leaders to deliver systems for banking and payments partners

• Work with senior engineer leaders to own and improve core transaction servers for next generation product needs. 

• Perform full lifecycle of team management to attract, engage, retain, coach and performance manage teams of exceptional engineers and managers (e.g., mentoring, recruiting, training and development, performance evaluation)

• Provide technical and architectural direction for the development, design, integration, testing, and maintenance of our platform

• Act as an internal ambassador for the engineering team to other groups, communicating the opportunities and constraints technology offers to the development of projects

• Manage technical debt to ensure our development velocity stays responsive and predictable while minimizing production incidents of our operations

What you'll bring to Circle

• 10+ years of experience with technical leadership and people management ( >= 50 direct/indirect reports)

• 15+ years of experience with software engineers

• You have experience in designing, building and deploying secure, scalable products & services

• You have a track record of managing managers and multiple technical teams

• You love the idea of coaching and building leaders (both within your team and at the senior engineering leadership level)
