RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages engineering priorities for assigned product lines assuring alignment of engineering efforts with business goals and customer requirements for new derivative creation
  • Defines product plans, including critical features, price targets, profit, return on investment (ROI), competitive strength, and value delivery for NPD products they are assigned to
  • Defines and implements sustaining & end-of-life strategies for mature or declining product lines
  • Tracks and reports sales results (pricing and gross margins) for specific product lines on a regular basis for regular (monthly/quarterly) business reviews
  • Manages/facilitates critical customer escalations, as necessary
  • Provides support as needed to internal functional organizations to ensure rapid response to opportunities and effective solutions to customer issues at accounts
  • Uses market research and competitive analysis as needed in these activities to maximize AE global market advantage
  • Interfaces with Global Sales, Research and Development, Engineering, Worldwide Customer Support, Operations, Corporate Marketing, Quality, and other partners to ensure new offerings meet technical specifications, cost targets, delivery commitments, and achieve customer adoption, cost targets, delivery commitments, and achieve customer adoption
  • Monitors global market trends for new opportunities and refines understanding of user needs in AE target markets through FAEs, Product Managers and customer input
  • As needed, coordinates with external partners, alternative channels, third-party integrators
  • Assists with annual business planning, marketing tools, and infrastructure as needed
  • Coordinates regular forecasting and demand analysis with Sales.
  • Guides development and manages tradeoffs of specifications & schedules for new products and/or services
  • Partners with launch product manager(s) to Interface with Corporate Marketing - drives naming, positioning, literature, collateral, web content, and launch activities

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to give direction that is easily followed
  • Able to communicate potential issues clearly and proactively to quality/engineering to help resolve customer issues in both written and verbal communication
  • Applies learned techniques and contributes to team analysis and investigation to solve problems within sphere of role and/or product development responsibilities
  • Knowledge and usage with teams using standard problem-solving tools
  • Responsible for own work and how you get it done
  • Guides members to be accountable for their work to create efficiently and effectively get product to customers
  • Solve broad customer/market issues and communicate with Account Team

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 0-2 years of experience in Product Management

 
EDUCATION:

  • Essential: Bachelor's degree in technical field
  • Desirable: M.S. in technical field

 

COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $70,000 – $97,000 per year.
