What is The Role:
As the Senior Director, Global Income Tax, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the income tax process of a rapidly scaling software business with multinational operations. This position offers the opportunity to lead the development and implementation of critical income tax processes and controls, contributing to the company's tax provision process in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
What You Will Do:
- Take ownership of the global income tax provision and US GAAP accounting for taxes, overseeing both international and domestic tax functions.
- Manage tax compliance in conjunction with statutory reporting in foreign countries, focusing on local tax compliance with particular emphasis on US and EU-based countries.
- Lead transfer pricing planning and administration for existing and new entities and locations, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Plan, design, and monitor tax controls, ensuring robust processes and compliance measures are in place.
- Implement tax planning initiatives into the Company's tax provision and effective tax rate, collaborating with third-party advisors.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of technical tax regulations for the US and foreign operations, including US federal tax and GAAP accounting.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of tax accounting principles and regulations across various jurisdictions, staying updated on the latest developments and best practices.• Manage and review the tax provision and reporting aspects of mergers & acquisitions, internal reorganizations, financial instrument issuances and settlements, and other specialty areas.
- Review month-end and quarter-end balance sheet reconciliations for income tax
- accounts.
- Preparation of global cash tax forecast and analysis.
- Drive process transformation and automation initiatives to increase the efficiency of tax accounting processes.
- Collaborate closely with Corporate Accounting, Financial reporting, and other business partners to stay informed about tax regulations, business transactions, and accounting developments that impact income tax.
- Manage tax forecasts and Non-GAAP tax rate projections.
- Oversee the external financial statement audit of the income tax provision and the maintenance of SOX controls.
- Mentor and develop tax staff and identify ways to improve existing processes that enhance the team's experience, knowledge, and efficiencies.
- Adoption of new tax software and implement processing changes as required.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in taxation or accounting.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of related experience in tax.
- Expertise in US and foreign tax regulations and experience with global tax matters.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in developing an internal team while managing outside consultants.
- Strong knowledge of tax accounting principles and regulations in various jurisdictions.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced, high growth environment
- Tax provision software experience preferred.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component.
The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below.
These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.
