Position Overview
Sign on Bonus Eligible, up to $15,000!United Health Services (UHS), the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York’s Southern Tier, is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery to join our team at UHS Wilson Medical Center.
Our Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit is a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment where teamwork, clinical excellence, and compassion come together. Nurses in this unit work alongside passionate, experienced, and cross‑trained colleagues who are dedicated to creating a seamless and supportive delivery experience for both mother and baby.
This position offers a sign‑on bonus of up to $15,000 and is ideal for an RN who thrives in a dynamic setting and values providing exceptional patient‑centered care during life’s most meaningful moments.
Hiring Part Time benefit eligible positions include:
24 hours weekly Day Rotation
24 hours weekly Night Rotation
30 hours weekly Day Rotation
30 hours weekly Night Rotation
36 hours weekly Night Rotation
Plus Per Diem opportunity!
Schedule are 12 hour shifts; every 3rd weekend

$40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experienceYou will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.

Responsibilities:
Assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements and evaluates nursing care in managing a group of patients, serving as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse, when designated by unit assignment and consideration of factors related to safety, effectiveness, competency, cost and impact.
Educates patient and family in health promotion and disease management using available resources.
Utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications according to United Health Services policy.
Shares in responsibility for productivity and effective resources utilization including staffing, time management, supplies and services.
Complies with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and United Health Services policies.
Actively participates in and supports the Nursing Shared Governance Model by supporting the Unit Council, participating in improvement initiatives, and contributing to peer review practices.
Actively engages in professional development, continuing nursing education, and completing all mandatory education requirements.
Integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice.
Provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students.
Will follow all United Health Services Values

Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
Current NYS RN License
Preferred:
Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
