G1 Facility Services is a leading facility maintenance, preventative maintenance, and construction provider, proudly serving customers nationally. We provide facility and preventative maintenance services to aviation, government, and commercial facilities throughout the United States and the Caribbean. With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to add a skilled and experienced licensed Electrician to our dynamic Newark, New Jersey team.

Scope of Work:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in accordance with relevant codes and safety standards in commercial and or industrial electrical work.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
• Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
• Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a licensed electrician.
• Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight as required.
• Valid journeyman or electrician license.
• Must have a valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria.

Shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm Sunday to Thursday

Compensation: $45.00 per hour, medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k.
