Junior Commercial Real Estate Agent/Assistant

A top-performing agent at Marcus & Millichap is seeking a driven, detail-oriented, and capable Commercial Real Estate Junior Agent / Assistant to join our real estate investment team in Columbus. This position will be supporting a Senior Agent / Team Leader in all aspects of growing efficiencies, resources, deal flow, and revenue, while also supporting members of the NLAG Team in their production and time management.   This is a unique opportunity to join a senior investment sales team with one of the nation’s largest commercial real estate investment brokerages specializing in single-tenant and multi-tenant investment sales. *Note this will be a paid position for a minimum of 6 months / maximum of 1 year, then the employee will transition into a full-time agent within the team. The transition time will depend on the candidate* Pay is $11.54/ hour ($2,000 / month)

Responsibilities for the first two months:

• Sourcing On Market Comps & Sale Comps (CoStar / Marcus & Millichap Property Database – MNET)
• Preparing Market Summary Reports 
• Reviewing Leases, growing knowledge of key provisions, and Providing Lease Abstracts
• Basic Financial Underwriting Skills for Multi-Tenant Retail Properties
• Qualifying Buyer Offers
• Summarizing Buyer Offers
• Property Ownership Research 

Requirements:

• Candidates must be organized and detail-oriented. It is essential that the candidate be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, have a professional demeanor, strong written, verbal and mathematical skills as well as a good telephone manner.  Attention to detail and the ability to multitask are also essential. 
•  General understanding of market pricing and Singe Tenant Commercial Real Estate Properties 
• Proficient in Excel
• Real Estate License is preferred.  If not licensed at time of hire, will need to immediately take steps to become licensed ASAP.
