We are seeking a PRN Therapist to join our team in Mason, OH!

Located just northeast of Cincinnati in Mason, Ohio, Aster Springs Outpatient specializes in treating adults (all genders, 16 years and older) struggling with eating disorders and co-occurring conditions.

Position Summary

The Therapist is responsible for providing individual and group therapy sessions for clients in a specialized Outpatient facility. Position is responsible for assessing the therapeutic needs of the individuals and families, and for developing appropriate treatment. Therapists act as the primary contact for clients and families throughout the treatment process and serve as a client advocate with the treatment team. Position acts as a liaison with referral sources, clinical partners, and individuals to coordinate care throughout the treatment process.

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible for the providing weekly individual and family therapy to assigned individual cases.
• Provides comprehensive understanding of client’s presenting behaviors and relational dynamics and implements a variety of therapeutic modalities to support client’s progress towards recovery.
• Facilitates group therapy sessions, therapeutic meal support, and provides support for other activities in the milieu.
• Assists in identification of treatment goals, completes initial psychosocial intake assessments, completes and updates treatment plan for assigned clients regularly.
• Attends weekly multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Responsible for maintaining contact with the assigned client’s referring therapist during the client’s stay and the family when/if appropriate.
• Responsible for accurate and timely documentation.
• Assists with discharge planning.
• Depending on credentials and/or licensure, may serve as a preceptor to graduate students while they are completing an internship at Aster Springs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications related to Aster Springs Mission and population.
• Preforms other activities and appropriate responsibilities as requested by the Executive Director.

Master’s Degree; license or working toward license (ILMF, LPCC, LICSW, ) in the state of Ohio;
