Part-Time Retail Sales Person
What you will do:
At the Retail Outlet in Plano, IL the Retail Store Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with product selection, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment. This role plays a key part in creating a positive shopping experience and achieving store sales goals. Main shift times do vary but we currently are looking for someone who can work Tuesday-Fridays from 12:00PM - 5:00PM and Saturdays from 7:30AM-4:00PM. Sundays may be needed in the future.
The ideal candidate will have:
▪ Assist and ring up consumers, handling transactions that are both card and cash
▪ Maintain accurate inventory
▪ Ensure profitability of sales
▪ Stay up to date on product knowledge
▪ Work with E&O manager/brand managers to help move E&O inventory
▪ Make bank deposits and obtain change as needed
▪ Count the register down at the end of the night
▪ Use a forklift and/or pallet jack to move product into the store
▪ Keep the store neat, orderly, and safe
▪ Be available for a flexible schedule due to business needs
Additional qualifications that will help you be successful in this role:
▪ Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
▪ Ability to use a pallet jack
▪ Be forklift certified, or willing to become certified
▪ Possess basic computer skills (email, internet, Microsoft Excel)
▪ Have basic math skills, with or without the aid of a register and/or calculator
▪ Ability to use a credit card terminal
Working Conditions:
▪ Ability to work alone and without supervision
▪ The working environment may be noisy, dusty, hot, or cold, and requires awareness of surroundings, as some time is spent in the warehouse
▪ The position requires reliable transportation, as trips to the bank before or after a shift are required
▪ Ability to lift up to and including 50 lbs
▪ Physical movements, such as standing, walking, lifting, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, and overhead movements, are required.
