JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing is seeking applicants for part-time job of Accessibility and Instructional Design Assistant. The position will be a hybrid position with most of the work being remote and occasional in-person meetings at the University Park campus.
Job duties to include:
Review and edit Canvas course content and other documents for accessibility compliance (e.g., adding proper headings, adding alt text, adding and editing video transcripts)
Edit documents including Word, PowerPoint, and PDF’s to meet accessibility requirements
Utilize accessibility checklist and tools to audit and remediate content on Canvas and documents
Document updates and changes to course materials and resources
Complete quality assurance reviews of Canvas courses
Collaborate with the Instructional Design and Marketing, Communication, & Creative Services teams
Qualifications:
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Ability to focus on multiple tasks at once
Basic understanding of tools like Canvas and Microsoft Office 365
Interest in or experience with digital accessibility is a plus (training will be provided)
Willingness to learn
Dependable
Ability to work independently
Schedule:
Up to 20 hours per week
Hybrid position with most of the work being remote and occasional in-person meetings at the University Park campus
Compensation:
The starting hourly rate for this job is $15.00.
