Role: Credit Analyst, Syndicated & International Finance
Location: 10 Molesworth Street, Dublin 2/ 66 South Mall, Cork
This role is being offered on a permanent basis.
About the Role:
The Syndicated & International Finance Team (SIF) is a key international business unit within Capital Markets. The team provides finance in support of transactions including leveraged buyouts, mergers, acquisitions, and other significant corporate events, and invests in securitisations and corporate bonds.
A vacancy now exists for a credit analyst on the team to support the origination of new transactions and to undertake the on-going credit management of the existing portfolios.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with the execution of transaction proposals including: transaction origination with senior team members, investment analysis, internal investment approval process and investment execution;
- Perform fundamental analysis on potential opportunities, to include both qualitative and quantitative due diligence and appropriate financial analysis and stress testing;
- Assist in the preparation of comprehensive credit applications for presentation to Credit Committee
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of existing transactions in the portfolio;
- Participate in meetings & conference calls with borrowers and market participants to facilitate initial due diligence and on-going investment monitoring;
- Develop and maintain good relationships with internal business partners and external market participants;
- Proactively monitor the portfolio including timely review of financial / performance reports, and market trends / research that may impact the portfolio.
What you will bring:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in financial / credit analysis, with experience in leverage finance, structured finance, corporate or other cashflow based lending an advantage, but not a pre-requisite;
- Strong numerical reasoning and report writing skills;
- Good problem solving skills;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; and
- Relevant university, postgraduate qualification and/or membership of a relevant professional body (latter is helpful but not essential).
