About the Role:

Aquila Technology is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. The team needs to expand the computational science and engineering team to continue to meets the needs of the research community at a high level.

Job Description:
The candidate will work closely with the groups Supercomputing Centers user base to develop technical solutions that leverage high performance computing. Candidate will consult with diverse user community to understand technical requirements, develop system architectures and software solutions, and deploy/test solutions on an operational supercomputer. Candidate will also present conclusions and results to Center leadership.

Required Skills:
The candidate should have a background in signal processing, graph analysis, high performance computing and machine learning / data science.
Ideal candidate will have experience bringing HPC solutions to varied domains such as health informatics, biotechnology, and radar processing.

Must Have

  • Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 years - Software/Algorithm Development
  • 5 years - High Performance Computing Software
  • 5 years - Linear algebra concepts
  • 5 years - Matrix/Linear Algebra
  • 10 years - Software Documentation
  • 10 years - C/C++ Programming
  • 5 years - GIT/GITHUB
  • 10 years - Object Oriented Software Design and Development
  • 5 years - Parallel programming (multi-threading, synchronization, etc.)
  • 10 years - Programming (Python, MATLAB, or similar)
  • 10 years - Software Design/Development
  • 5 years - XML and SQL

In addition candidates need experience with the following:

  • Parallel programming
  • Distributed computing
  • High Performance computing
  • Software optimization
  • Experience with GraphBLAS, MPI, OpenMP, multithreaded applications

Expenses related to training programs, certifications, books, materials, meals, transportation, or other non-tuition costs are not eligible under the Tuition Reimbursement Program. All tuition reimbursement requests must be submitted to and approved by the team member’s Manager prior to course registration. Reimbursement will be issued upon successful course completion and submission of final grades and proof of payment.
