Excelity is seeking a Data Engineer for a project responsible for building the next generation Mission Application Systems for an exciting Government customer with a very critical mission. The candidate will work with the engineering team and customer to ensure successful development of high profile, complex, technical deliverables that are core to the continued success of our award-winning projects.
Required Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly
Required Skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience OR a PhD with 4 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of the degree requirement
- Advanced understanding of database schemas
- PostgreSQL, Python, Java or Scala
- Understanding the concepts of data lake, data warehousing including Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and data modeling is essential. Familiarity with cloud-based storage and computing platforms such as Azure, and AWS
- Proficiency in version control systems such as Git and understanding the concepts of branching, merging, and tagging is essential.
- Experience with integrating data from various sources such as web services, APIs and file systems
- Knowledge of distributed computing technologies like Hive, Hadoop and Spark
- Willingness to work 100% onsite in a secure environment; telework is not available for this position.
Desired Skills:
- Experience implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Experience with data release to foreign partners
- Experience with Elasticsearch
- Experience with Immuta
- Experience supporting the Five Eye community
Detailed Position Description: The selected candidate will perform data engineering associated with synchronizing new and existing systems for DIA as part of the Five Eyes partner alliance. The candidate will have experience performing data engineering associated with database pipelines and schemas for a multimillion-dollar program that supports DoD and the IC.
