Because at Solventum, we never stop solving for you.</b></p><p></p><p><b>The Impact You’ll Make in this Role</b></p><p></p><p>Are you an International Supply Chain Leader with a wealth of experience managing complex operations and multi-site teams?</p><p>Are you operational excellence-oriented, focused on continuous improvement and have strong project and change management skills?</p><p>If your answer is yes and you are looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to make a bigger impact at EMEA level this may be the opportunity for you!</p><p></p><p>Solventum Ireland is looking to appoint a <b>Snr. </b><b>Director of Distribution Centre and Transportation - EMEA. </b>This is an important appointment, and you will have an opportunity to define strategy and implement transformational changes geared around operational excellence, safety, ethics and compliance, employee relations. The role is based in Athlone, on a Hybrid bases and will make an impact by:</p><ul><li><p>Leading a team of approx. 50 direct and indirectly reporting logistic professionals across EMEA plus several internal Distribution Centres</p></li><li><p>Leading the DC network consisting of approx. 25 European DCs, Regional DCs, Local DCs and Supply Chain Warehouses</p></li><li><p>Defining and implementing the EMEA Distribution Centre Strategy</p></li><li><p>Design the organization that allows to meet the overall targets</p></li><li><p>Lead the transportation for EMEA including inbound and outbound freight</p></li><li><p>Establish a Safe Sustainable Operations – Safe places to work with reduced Hazards<br/>and Risks, drive for sustainability</p></li><li><p>drive continuous improvements for the categories. Introduces innovative strategies for Supplier excellence</p></li><li><p>Drive continuous improvement efforts by implementing lean methodologies, process<br/>optimizations to achieve cost reduction targets</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Your Skills and Expertise: </b><br/>To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications and skills:</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain/engineering or business-related field</p></li><li><p>Significant experience in logistics, manufacturing and continuous improvement<br/>environment</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a virtual international team that is split over multiple countries and regions and others</p></li><li><p>Comprehensive knowledge and experience across the logistics processes and<br/>organization</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to develop and strengthen organizations, build teams, bring our customer needs to life and effectively motivate and energize organizationally</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Additional <span>experience/qualifications</span> that could help you succeed even further in this role include:</b></p><ul><li><p>Experience in the Healthcare/MedTech industry will be highly desirable for this role, as it demonstrates a strong understanding of medical technologies, regulatory requirements, and the ability to navigate the complexities of healthcare systems. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Work location:</b> Athlone, Ireland</p><p></p><p><b>Work Type: </b>Hybrid - Job Duties allow for some remote work but require 2/3
