Job Description

Provides oversight and maintenance for all research systems and databases related to clinical research. Works closely with research IS&T and vendors to manage technical support of systems and provides education and support for research teams who interact with the systems to perform daily tasks. Coordinates all reporting efforts from these systems and databases.

Experience

  • A master’s degree with no experience OR
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a professional working environment with a bachelor’s degree in Science, Management, Finance / Accounting, or appropriate field
  • Project management, training, and research experience preferred

  • Experience with databases

  • Ability to read a protocol and translate the events to a subject timeline

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide training and assistance of clinical trial management system (CTMS).
  • Provide support and processes for CTMS implementation.
  • Manage and maintain CTMS.
  • Create study records for Epic and CTMS.
  • Create reporting tools for tracking.
  • Create/update training materials.
  • Create/update processes and workflows.
  • Review clinical research protocols and study budgets for study build process for help in management of research billing compliance, budgeting, subject tracking, and invoicing.
  • Assist with the Epic Research Technology team with Epic system updates and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with IT, Research Administration, Office of Sponsored Programs, Clinical Research staff, and the Office of Grants Accounting.
  • Troubleshoot and identify errors and issues between CTMS and other applications.
  • Work with vendor for implementation and maintenance of system.
  • Maintain research REDCap database tracking subject enrollment and visits.
  • Build Epic Research study timelines to support Office of Grants Accounting
