As a Productivity Engineer specializing in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with a focus on migrating from a complex monolith system to a distributed system architecture, you will play a pivotal role in our Information Technology team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems during the migration process. This role demands expertise in system migration, a strong focus on productivity enhancement, and the ability to establish consistent yet flexible standards that align with the organization's engineering initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: 

• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): 
  • Implement and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems to ensure the reliability and availability of our applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of applications and services.
  • Conduct regular post-incident reviews and drive initiatives to prevent future incidents.
• Productivity Enhancement: 
  • Identify bottlenecks in the development and deployment pipelines and create solutions to optimize productivity.
  • Develop and implement automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and best practices to streamline workflows.
  • Continuously monitor and improve development and deployment processes to reduce lead times.
• Standardization and Alignment: 
  • Define and maintain coding standards, development guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency across development and SRE teams.
  • Collaborate with architecture and development teams to ensure alignment with engineering initiatives and company objectives.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, making recommendations for future system development.
• Documentation and Training: 
  • Create comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and standards to facilitate knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Provide training and mentorship to SRE and development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
• System Migration Expertise:
  • Lead and drive the migration process from the current monolithic system to a distributed architecture, focusing on system reliability and scalability.
  • Conduct system assessments, identify potential issues, and develop migration strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute the migration while maintaining optimal system performance.
