Mercury® Financial is headquartered in the progressive and entrepreneurial tech hub of Austin, Texas. Our physical location is situated in a beautiful park like setting called the Domain. Role:

The Digital Strategy Execution Senior Manager will develop, optimize, and execute digital strategies within the Collections line of business for our Early and Late-Stage Collections Products. They will lead in the development of the overall strategic direction, operating budget, delivering business objectives for the unit.   

What a day is like:

  • Responsible for the transformation of the department to an industry leading collections area that leverages digital first industry leading capabilities in a fintech environment
  • Develop collection strategies; help perform and automate an operational process with executive-level visibility
  • Apply strategic and analytical thinking to solve complex problems
  • Work directly with technology teams to relay business requirements, outline desired results, and develop key success metrics
  • Work with multiple operations and technical teams within both our company and partner organizations to define and execute joint technology, marketing, and collections initiatives
  • Executes the Early and Late-Stage Collections Products’ strategic direction, operating budget, delivering business objectives and KPI targets for Collections Operations
  • Analyze existing strategies for opportunities and present recommendations to leadership
  • Design and execute effective digital first multi-channel communication strategies
  • Exhibit solid business judgment in making balanced decisions quickly while being well managed
  • Build business requirements and manage the delivery of Collections intent through partnership with Product, Tech, Credit Risk, and Legal/Compliance
  • Oversees research, development and implementation of new processes, technologies or operating models
  • Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team
  • Drafts technical requirements and serve as subject matter expert for Credit Card Servicing

 

You’re perfect for this role if you: 

  Required

  • 5+ years in Collections within the financial industry, preferably in consumer financing
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field 
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing successful digital first collections strategies
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
  • Strong analytical, technical and statistical skills.  SAS/SQL experience preferred
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes
  • Ability to work in a product matrixed environment supporting both Early and Late-Stage Collections products
  • Ability to synthesize / analyze diverse information, develop recommendations, and
