This role provides targeted financial leadership for a Wholesale and Payments Technology & Operations team. It ensures accurate financial reporting, supports tactical execution, and aligns financials with operational goals. The role requires deeper financial expertise and broader influence across functions due to the complexity and scale of the sub-segment. Role will need to focus on operational aspects as well as investment/project side to execute new demand needs from Wholesale segment. The Technology, Data, and Operations Finance team is expanding and seeking innovative, builder-minded professionals to help us navigate the challenges of growing responsibilities and advancing reporting capabilities.

LOCATION:


**Beginning January, Truist in-office requirement is 5 days per week**

  • Charlotte, NC
  • Atlanta, GA

No remote or telecommute option

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide targeted financial leadership for a specialized sub-segment.
2. Lead financial reporting and tactical execution aligned with operational goals.
3. Influence financial decisions across functions due to portfolio complexity.
4. Support strategic initiatives, investment cases, and performance evaluations.
5. Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements.
6. Mentor analysts and contribute to team development.
7. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
8. Partner with other Finance colleagues to execute strategies across both Technology, Data, and Operations Finance as well as Wholesale Segment Finance. 

Required Qualifications:

1.    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education and related training.
2.    Ten years of relevant accounting or finance experience that includes complex financial analysis.
3.    Incumbent must possess the experience and business vision to provide leadership to support to the division manager and Executive leadership.
4.    Sound and comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes.  Ability to build consensus through communication and presentation of factual and relevant information.
5.    Strong verbal and written communication skills to interpret and communicate financial analysis to business partners in a concise and useful manner.
6.    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7.    Sound and logical decision-making abilities.
8.    Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work well with others in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
9.    Familiarity with GAAP, with specific knowledge of GAAP related to supported LOBs. High proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and other basic software products. Financial Modeling experience.
