SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Manager of Strategic Engagements and Partnerships will play a pivotal role in showcasing Meteor's thought leadership within the education sector, and for ensuring that thought leadership translates to the development of enterprise sales relationships with district level stakeholders. This individual will be responsible for the comprehensive management of engagement events, driving strategic planning in collaboration with partners, and ensuring the seamless maintenance of our partner relationships.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Event Management: Coordinate, produce, and oversee a range of engagement events that highlight Meteor's industry expertise, fostering opportunities for meaningful conversations around Meteor and partner products/services.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Engage in collaborative strategic planning sessions to ensure that Meteor remains at the forefront of educational thought leadership and aligns seamlessly with its partners.
  • Partnership Maintenance: Cultivate and nurture existing partner relationships, ensuring open communication, alignment of goals, and the delivery of mutual value.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate closely with sales studios, aiding in the follow-up and conversion processes stemming from engagement events. Ensure a smooth transition from engagement to conversion, maximizing client opportunities.
  • Team Coordination: Liaise with studio teams for event logistics, securing critical invitees, and establishing robust follow-up protocols. Work in tandem with the Learning Services team to ensure that all presentation topics are research-backed and align with Meteor's theoretical frameworks.
  • Thought Leadership Evolution: Play an instrumental role in repositioning Meteor's brand image, transitioning from a focus on educational environments to a holistic educational services provider. Drive initiatives that solidify Meteor's position as a leader in the education sector.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management, or related field. Master’s Degree or additional certifications are a plus.
  • Proven Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing diverse events.
  • Demonstrated Ability in managing and nurturing partnership relationships.
  • Background in Sales or Marketing, with a focus on lead generation and conversion strategies.
  • Strategic Planning Skills: Ability to align events and engagements with organizational objectives.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Clear and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Project Management Proficiency: Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring timely and quality completion.

NOTE: All Meteor new hires are expected to attend an in-person cultural orientation which requires travel to our home office in Gainesville, FL. Employees may also be required to travel and attend annual company meetings and events. All business-related travel expenses will be paid for by Meteor per our company travel and expense policy.
