National Security Solutions Intern – C++ Developer

KBR’s National Security Solutions Group (NSS) is seeking highly motivated Software Engineering Students to join our team's Beavercreek, Ohio office.

The ideal candidate will perform all activities associated with the design, development, implementation, maintenance, configuration management and quality control of software for scientific/engineering applications. Create prototypes and perform testing of software. Respond to and resolve software discrepancies against documented requirements. Determine software maintainability and overall adherence to user requirements. Generate/update project documents. Candidate will code, test, and debug software. Candidate will participate with engineers in the design, development, and utilization of scientific/engineering electronic data processing systems software.

Responsibilities:

• Work with team lead to define software requirements
• Design, develop and test system software for our customers
• Assist with maintenance of existing software
• Support office meetings and deliveries to our customers

Required Qualifications:

• Academic experience using C/C++, including design, coding and testing
• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve customer and company goals

Preferred Qualifications:

• Software development on a Unix operating system
• Experience understanding, coding and testing complex mathematical algorithms
• Experience with Qt/QWT

Security Requirements:

• Must have the ability to obtain a US Top Secret/SCI Clearance
