As a MC&U Business Operations Lead, you will be instrumental in optimizing our operations, boosting efficiency, and driving strategic initiatives. You will collaborate closely with the various teams within MC&U specifically, EMU/RM as needed, and with various departments across the Sanford site. This role ensures smooth business processes, facilitates Culture and Talent Development for MC&U organization, provides strategic direction across functions and leverages resources to deliver results directly and indirectly around critical business challenges.  

How You Will Achieve It

  • Own and lead IMEx CI Loop process for MC&U organization

  • Has comprehensive knowledge of Maintenance Calibrations & Utilities.  Has good understanding/knowledge of MC&U operations.

  • Responsible for overseeing and directing business processes for the department, including creation, sustaining, and improving existing and/or new processes. 

  • Provide leadership within the department through quality, dynamic workshop facilitation as situations arise (problem solving, brainstorming, strategic, prioritization, etc.).

  • Monitor Performance Metrics and provide actionable insights for MC&U. Facilitate MC&U leadership team meetings to review key performance indicators (KPIs) and improve efficiency. 

  • Responsible for leading and collaboration with supervisors for culture development and talent planning that includes Pfizer values and behaviors, employee experience, our way of working, coaching, mentoring, and colleague development.

  • Works independently. Receives instruction primarily on unusual or complex problems while maintaining input of the voice of the customer

  • Responsible for audit support internal and external.

  • Responsible for processing investigations as required

  • Responsible for providing coaching to technicians with respect to business operations of MC&U

  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategies that improve MC&U processes and procedures.

  • Responsible for cGMP compliance within the workplace by following site cGMP procedures.

  • Responsible to collaborate with site compliance groups and site SME’s to incorporate changes to PQS into department work processes

  • Responsible for taking appropriate risks to advance new concepts and methodologies that are moderately complex.

  • Responsible for reviewing department work processes for safety concerns, incorporating finding into all work practices, and ensuring the continued growth of the departments culture of safety for all colleagues

  • Responsible for reviewing department personnel progress in accomplishing assigned project objectives, quality, and scheduled commitments, providing performance feedback to department supervisor.

  • Provides guidance to and/or may lead/co-lead moderately complex MC&U projects. Responsible to share knowledge and provide department status updates.

  • Responsible for evaluating and recommending improvements to SOPs and Training Modules

  • Responsible to address and implement CAPA’s as needed

  • Responsible for collaborating with customers to meet MC&U requirements, noting any discrepancies and drive to resolution.

  • Applies knowledge of internal/external business challenges to provide input into recommendations for improvements to products, processes, or services

  • Uses a variety of communication tools and techniques to inform difficult concepts. Skilled in use of Pfizer Enterprise systems.  Exp. QTS, EAMS, PDOCs

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering/ Technical field with at least 4 years of experience Engineering, Maintenance and/or CI experience in a manufacturing environment (Pharmaceutical industry highly preferred) OR Master’s degree with more than 2 years of experience Engineering, Maintenance and/or CI experience in a manufacturing environment (Pharmaceutical industry highly preferred), OR a PhD with 0 years of experience OR Associate’s degree with 8 years of experience Engineering, Maintenance and/or CI experience in a manufacturing environment (Pharmaceutical industry highly preferred) OR High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience Engineering, Maintenance and/or CI experience in a manufacturing environment (Pharmaceutical industry highly preferred)

  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilitie
