Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on, Head of Physical & AI Production to lead our studio's production operations and drive the successful delivery of our productions across film, series, innovative formats and our commercial division. This role is ideal for a seasoned line producer or production executive who thrives in the details—building budgets, managing crews, and navigating complex, fast-paced production environments, while also having the leadership and vision to help architect scalable production capabilities for a next-generation studio. Should have experience or strong interest in innovative, AI and hybrid workflows and production techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Production Leadership & Strategy

    • Oversee all physical production activities across Promise’s slate of projects

    • Develop and manage production plans, calendars, and budgets from development through delivery

    • Lead and mentor producers and production staff across concurrent productions

    • Design scalable staffing models and workflows that integrate traditional and GenAI methodologies

    • Collaborate with creative, finance, legal, and product teams to align production with company objectives

  2. Execution & Project Delivery

    • Ensure all productions are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest creative and technical standards

    • Supervise day-to-day production operations, including scheduling, vendor management, cost tracking, and risk mitigation

    • Manage cost reports, cash flows, union/guild compliance, and key production approvals

    • Oversee all production phases including prep, shoot, post, and delivery

  3. Team & Workflow Development

    • Build and lead high-performing production teams

    • Recruit, develop, and retain top production talent

    • Establish staffing models that optimize both traditional and GenAI production approaches

    • Create training programs for production staff on new tools and workflows

    • Foster a culture of innovation and creative problem-solving

  4. Technology Integration & Innovation

    • Collaborate with Creative Technology and Product teams to integrate GenAI tools into production workflows

    • Evaluate and implement new production software, tools, and technologies

    • Work closely with VFX and post-production teams to optimize hybrid workflows

    • Champion innovative production approaches while maintaining quality and efficiency standards

    • Adapt traditional production pipelines to accommodate GenAI content creation

  5. Pipeline & Process Optimization

    • Establish version control, asset management, and approval processes

    • Ensure communication and distribution of production-related information and documents

    • Optimize data flow and collaboration between different production departments

    • Ensure proper integration with studio's proprietary Muse platform and tools

    • Continuously refine processes based on production learnings and technological advances

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 12+ years of production experience in film and/or television

  • Proven track record as a senior production executive managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience producing across multiple formats: animation, live action, and hybrid productions

  • Strong background in production budgeting, scheduling, and financial management

  • Experience working with VFX and post-production workflows and pipelines

  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead large production teams

  • Strong knowledge of production software, tools, and industry-standard workflows
