The Solution Manager - Digital & Transformation Organization is responsible for developing IT strategies that align with high-impact business deliverables across the enterprise. As a key technical advisor, the role resolves complex operational obstacles and represents stakeholder interests to ensure alignment between business goals and IT capabilities. The Solution Manager will serve as a critical communication link, regularly updating stakeholders on solution progress, risks, and milestones to ensure transparency and informed decision-making. The role will facilitate cross-functional collaboration and provide mentorship and guidance to technical and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Identifies opportunities where IT can deliver cost-effective, standardized solutions to cater to the needs of multiple business, function, or geography entities.
- Serve as the technical authority and orchestrator across assets, guiding API architecture direction, ownership models, and system interoperability to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Oversee the end-to-end solution lifecycle, from initial alignment and user story development through to delivery, ensuring technical integrity and business value while applying domain-specific business acumen.
- Translate high-level stakeholder requirements into cross-system solution designs, driving consensus and clarity among technical and business teams.
- Initiates and nurtures relationships with influential stakeholders positioned at the highest levels of the business, function, geography, or organization, alongside key tactical leaders.
- Recognizes the demand for new IT processes and substantial enhancements to major IT processes and spearheads their development and implementation.
- Communicates solution progress, risks, and key updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment, visibility, and timely decision-making across business and technical stakeholders.
- Act as a technical liaison and escalation point during development, contributing innovative ideas, resolving ambiguities, clarifying design intent, and ensuring alignment with the original solution architecture.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Business Analysts and technical contributors, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Education & Experience Recommended
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated knowledge.
- Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in IT projects, process improvement, or a related field.
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience with Agile Methodology, Scrum, and automation tools to manage and deliver scalable IT solutions.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Proficient in Jira and TestRail.
- Strong capabilities in business analysis, systems development life cycle (SDLC), and workflow management.
- Demonstrated success in systems analysis across complex projects.
- Effective communicator with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to guide cross-functional initiatives and drive measurable outcomes.
- High learning agility and digital fluency, enabling adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Experience mentoring team members and fostering collaboration across diverse business units and geographies.
