POSITION OVERVIEW

The Analyst will join Global Atlantic’s Investment Operations team in Boston, Massachusetts to help support our $125bn+ portfolio across multiple asset classes.  The candidate must demonstrate analytical aptitude and excellent communication skills.  Additionally, they must be able to take-on diverse responsibilities across activities performed within the Investment Operations team.  Key responsibilities will include:

• Support Investment Office portfolio management through the build-out and oversight of monthly holdings in relation to defined investment guidelines
• Coordinate process flow set-up, account opening processes and settlement/execution for reinsurance deals, from an investment operations perspective
• Work across Investment Office (Asset Allocation, Portfolio Management, Asset Origination, Risk, Investment Operations and IT) to understand data flows and resolve data breaks
• Understand, process, and consolidate meaningful amounts of investment analytics data into succinct management reports and presentations for Investment Office leadership meetings.
• Review current infrastructure and provide enhancements for compliance reporting of the investment portfolio.
• Maintain ongoing understanding of macro themes and the impact to GA’s investment portfolio strategy and performance.
• Work with key partners throughout external/internal business units to manage operational support of investment portfolio.
• Assist with development of the Investment Compliance function and support day-to-day oversight with ad-hoc reporting requests.
• Participate in Investment Office-wide projects with a diverse set of responsibilities including preparing and making presentations to senior leaders across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree with 0-3 years of relevant experience preferred (for recent college graduates, bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field)
• Interest in finance/investments, with basic accounting knowledge
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set
• Eagerness to learn and self-motivated to succeed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in a fast paced, team environment
• Ability to multi-task multiple high priority responsibilities
• Ambition and desire to succeed by delivering quality and effective results
• Positive attitude even when faced with difficult obstacles, issues or challenges
• “Out of the box” thinking and a creative entrepreneurial attitude
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (VBA and Visio experience a plus)

Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. The annual base salary range provided in this posting for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country.  Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range.
