AI Architect / Principal AI Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on AI Architect / Principal Engineer who can design, build, and scale agentic AI platforms — not just draw diagrams.

This role owns the technical direction of AI across Spektra, enabling multiple product teams through shared AI platforms, reusable agents, and SaaSified AI experiences. You will work directly with developers and QA, code critical paths, and ensure everything is production-ready, scalable, and fast to evolve.

What You’ll Be Doing

AI Architecture & Platform Design

• Define the end-to-end AI architecture for CloudLabs:
• LLM orchestration
• Agent frameworks
• RAG systems
• Model serving and inference
• Design shared AI services usable across multiple products
• Architect vendor-neutral AI systems (avoid MS-only lock-in)
• Select and evolve:
• LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source, hybrid)
• Vector databases
• Agent orchestration frameworks
• Build foundational AI libraries and internal platforms

Agentic & Advanced AI Systems

• Architect multi-agent systems with modern agentic patterns
• Design tool-using agents, planners, evaluators, and memory systems
• Define best practices for:
• Prompt engineering
• Context management
• Evaluation and guardrails
• Build or customize MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers
• Ensure robustness against hallucinations and failure modes

Hands-on Engineering Leadership

• Actively code critical components (this is not a pure design role)
• Review AI and full-stack code for correctness, scalability, and speed
• Define standards for AI-led development using tools like:
• Cursor
• Claude Code
• GitHub Copilot
• Mentor AI developers and raise engineering quality
• Partner with QA to define AI testing and validation strategies
