Training Supervisor – Operations Training

Responsible for supervision of technical training staff that perform training development and implementation, including planning, staffing, logistics, instruction and training documentation. The technical training course content satisfies the requirements of DOE O 426.2 and includes technical fundamentals, system-specific training and general training, such as Human Performance and Conduct of Operations Training. The technical training is developed for qualification of personnel Plant Management personnel.
This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC
REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Minimum Requirements per DOE O 426.2:
1. High School Diploma
AND
2. At least 3 years nuclear-related job-related experience (e.g technical position in Nuclear Operations in Naval Nuclear, Department of Energy Nuclear, or Commercial Nuclear Operations).
Additional WTCC REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree preferably with courses in education or training that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery and testing as well as evaluation of training programs, AND 10 years experience as a trainer and/or operator at a Department of Energy Nuclear facility or similar high-hazard facility. 4 years technical training implementation experience. 3 years supervisor experience.
Associates degree preferably with courses in education or training that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery and testing as well as evaluation of training programs, AND 12 years experience as a trainer and/or operator at a Department of Energy Nuclear facility or similar high-hazard facility. 4 years technical training implementation experience. 3 years supervisor experience.

No degree preferably with courses in education or training that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery and testing as well as evaluation of training programs, AND 14 years experience as a trainer and/or operator at a Department of Energy Nuclear facility or similar high-hazard facility. 4 years technical training implementation experience. 3 years supervisor experience.
*Must possess strong computer skills.
Preferred candidates will also have:
Experience supervising training staff
Experience in technical training material development.
Proficiency using VISION for training processes.
Progression to the next grade is based upon complexity of assignment and sustained performance.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS
Manage the creation and implementation of facility operations training programs to support the operation of the waste vitrification facilities at the Hanford Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant
Manage the process for the analysis, design, development, implementation, administration, and evaluation of nuclear training programs.
Administer a training change process to determine impact of a change on training programs and make necessary changes to programs.
Participate in team decision making regarding training programs.
Perform other training related tasks as required to support the project mission.
Evaluate and process project training requests.
Participate in the Corrective Action Management program as a responsible person.
Interface with customers, report progress, identity, and perform improvement initiatives.
Develop and maintain metrics that reflect key training performance indicators.
Supervise the analysis of project systems and processes for creation of training materials. This includes the reading and interpretation of piping and instrument drawings, process flow documents, vendor manuals, system and design drawings. Determine and sequence activities for major systems and evolutions.
Perform data input and manipulation in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Vision.
Work to a production schedule meeting project and industry standards for material produced.
Products may include objectives for task and knowledge statements determined in analysis; the design and develop of training materials; the creation of on the job training for performance of tasks identified in analysis; and the creation of written, oral and performance-based evaluation items to adequately test objectives.
