The impact you can have
The role will be based out of the network’s largest RSC in Kansas City, MO (1.5M sq ft). The role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation leveraging data-driven insights and technical expertise to support the operations team and the growth of our business. Lead process improvement activities to achieve dramatic improvement in the key business metrics of safety, quality, performance and cost.

What you’ll do
Design, evaluate, and improve processes, systems, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Identify, analyze, and implement process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency and safety
Support the implementation and optimization of automated warehouse systems, including Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) such as Dematic or similar technologies, to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
Develop and implement innovative solutions for layout design, material flow, labor planning, and automation.
Applies methodologies and tools, such as product slotting, time studies, layouts and optimization of flow, data profiling and analysis, and resource modeling to improve distribution operations.
Lead and manage cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing distribution center performance.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
What you need to succeed
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on distribution, warehousing, and supply chain operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in tools such as (Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, etc.).
- Deep understanding of supply chain principles, including inventory management, demand forecasting, transportation, and warehousing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS), strong preference Manhattan.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse automation systems, particularly ASRS technologies like Dematic, or comparable solutions.
- Proven ability to design and optimize processes involving automated storage and retrieval in warehouse environments.
- Strong skills in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma, with a proven ability to optimize supply chain operations.
Compensation Details:
$86700 - $108500 annually
